Strategies

Goal #1: To promote the effective use of library resources and technology for parents.

I will have a Family Library Resources Evening to promote the use of the library resources from the library homepage. To encourage more participation, we will give away door prizes.

Goal #2: To allow students and teachers to give their input regarding materials to be purchased

I will create a page on the library wiki so that students and teachers can submit suggestions for book titles or books on a certain subject so that new materials can be purchased.

Goal #3: To display copyright warning notices on all copy-enabled equipment

I will type up and laminate copies of the copyright warning notices. These will be taped to every copier, printer, VCR, DVD burner, scanner and computer in the building.

Goal # 4: To get input from students and staff concerning the functionality of the library.

I will create an on-line survey using a Web 2.0 tool in order to find out what the students and staff think about the functionality of the library.

Goal #5: To get input from students and staff concerning the library environment

I will create an on-line survey using a Web 2.0 tool in order to find out whether the students and staff think that the library is welcoming and appealing or not.
